This guide sets out the prices we publish for each treatment, explains what tends to affect the total, and describes how we put your quote together.

What a smile makeover can include
A smile makeover is built around you, so the treatments in your plan depend on what you would like to change. It may include any of the following:
- Composite bonding – tooth-coloured composite used to reshape, repair and refine teeth.
- Porcelain veneers – thin porcelain facings bonded to the front of the teeth.
- Teeth whitening – our Boutique home whitening system, with custom-made trays, professional-strength gel and dentist supervision.
- Invisalign® – clear aligners to straighten teeth, sometimes used before other cosmetic work.
- Fixed braces – ceramic (tooth-coloured) or metal braces to straighten teeth, sometimes used before other cosmetic work.
- Dental implants and crowns – to replace or restore teeth that are missing or damaged.

Adult braces prices include removable retainers and tooth whitening.

What affects the cost of a smile makeover
Every mouth is different, so we cannot give a total price without seeing you. In general, the cost of a smile makeover depends on:
- Which treatments you choose. Bonding, veneers, whitening, aligners and crowns are each priced differently.
- How many teeth are treated. Bonding, veneers and crowns are priced per tooth, so the number of teeth makes a big difference. Some people choose just a few front teeth; others choose a full upper set.
- The material. Composite bonding and porcelain veneers are priced differently. We are happy to talk through both at your £50 consultation, redeemable against your treatment if you go ahead.
- Any treatment needed first. If teeth need straightening, whitening, or other dental care before cosmetic work, that forms part of your plan.
- Membership. Joining a practice membership plan gives 15% off listed treatments.

How the consultation works
Your plan starts with a consultation, which is £50, as listed on our dental fees page, and is redeemable against your treatment if you go ahead. As described on our smile makeover page:
- Consultation. We listen to what you would change, examine your teeth and gums, and take photos and a digital scan.
- Your smile design and quote. We design your new smile, walk you through the options, and give you a fixed written plan and price.
- Your treatment. We carry out your plan in an agreed sequence – straightening or whitening first where needed, then the finishing work.
- Aftercare. We set you up with simple aftercare.
For most cosmetic cases, Dr Edward Walmsley can sculpt a temporary composite preview directly onto your teeth at the £50 consultation, redeemable against your treatment if you go ahead, so you can see the proposed design before deciding. There is no obligation to proceed.
