Cosmetic dentistry for Denton patients
Walmsley Dental is at 253 Manchester Road, Droylsden, M43 6HE, about 10 minutes from Denton town centre by car. Many Denton patients simply drive straight up Manchester Road to reach us. We are a private, family-run practice and have been on this road since 1984. Cosmetic cases are led by Dr Edward Walmsley (GDC 203897), and you may also see Dr Emma Walmsley.

This page is for Denton patients who want to change one thing about their smile: a chipped edge, a gap, the colour of their teeth or a few crooked teeth. It sets out our published prices, what happens at the consultation and how to get here.
If you are thinking about combining several treatments, our Denton smile makeover page covers combined plans. Patients replacing missing teeth can see our dental implants page for Denton.

Every treatment is planned around the individual, so results are individual to each person.

Matching the treatment to what you want to change
| What you want to change | Treatments we usually discuss | Page |
|---|---|---|
| A chip, a small gap or an uneven edge | Composite edge bonding or composite bonding | Composite bonding |
| The shape or colour of several front teeth | Composite veneers or porcelain veneers | Composite veneers, Porcelain veneers |
| Overall tooth colour | Boutique home teeth whitening | Teeth whitening |
| Crooked or crowded teeth | Invisalign® or SureSmile® clear aligners, or ceramic braces | Invisalign, Ceramic braces |
| Several of the above | A smile makeover plan | Smile makeover Denton |
Composite bonding is tooth-coloured composite resin sculpted onto your existing teeth, often with little or no drilling. Porcelain veneers are thin porcelain shells bonded to the front of the teeth after a very thin layer of enamel is shaped. If straightening is part of what you want, we talk through clear aligners and ceramic braces at the consultation so you can compare them side by side.

Your £50 consultation
Every cosmetic plan starts with a consultation. It costs £50 and is redeemable against your treatment if you go ahead. We take clinical photos, check your teeth and gums are healthy and listen to what you would like to change. Where suitable, Dr Walmsley hand-sculpts a temporary composite preview directly onto your teeth so you can see the proposed design before deciding. You leave with a fixed written quote and there is no obligation to proceed.

Spreading the cost
0% interest-free finance is available for up to 12 months, with longer interest-bearing plans up to 5 years. We can talk you through the options when we give you your quote.

Every treatment is planned around the individual, so results are individual to each person.
