Traditionally, veneers have been made from porcelain – an option we also offer here at Walmsley Dental. Composite veneers act in much the same way as porcelain veneers, transforming a smile and covering up any cosmetic issues you may have.
Where they differ is that, much like composite bonding, they’re made from a composite resin material. This makes them a less invasive option than porcelain veneers and for a more comfortable patient experience while they’re being applied.
Made from a composite resin material, composite veneers are shaped by hand and cover the whole tooth by being bonded to the tooth’s natural surface. There is rarely any need for any drilling or needles, and the natural surface of the tooth will not be compromised.
