What is SureSmile?
What is the treatment process like?
Using SureSmile couldn’t be easier. You’ll be fitted for your custom aligners here at the practice, and we’ll be able to build your treatment journey plan using digital imagery. With this, we’ll also be able to show you how your new smile will look by the end of the treatment.
Your aligners will be made for you by the experts at SureSmile, and once ready, you’ll wear them at home for the allotted amount of time.
How long does the treatment take?
The exact length of treatment varies from patient to patient and will depend on where the teeth are positioned at the start of the treatment and what kind of orthodontic issues we’re targeting. In many cases, SureSmile produces results within six months, but it can take longer in more complex cases.
Are the aligners removable?
Yes, like other aligner systems, SureSmile aligners are removable, so you can take them out for eating and brushing your teeth and cleaning, as well as for big occasions.
How often do I need to wear the SureSmile aligners?
Your aligners need to be worn daily for 22 hours or more in order to ensure your teeth move in the desired direction in the allotted amount of time.
Will the treatment be painful?
Your custom-made aligners are made using advanced technology to ensure smooth edges and the ultimate comfort for patients. You might experience a little pressure when the teeth first start moving, but it shouldn’t be painful.
Will I have to wear a retainer afterwards?
Yes, you should wear a SureSmile retainer after finishing your treatment so that your teeth stay in their new, more aligned positions.
